Managing our emotions is a very difficult task as our emotions are likely to be influenced by others' actions and the circumstances prevailing around us. If mastered, then it can help one to fight against all odds. There are situations where we need to control our emotions for example, in our work culture; we come across all walks of people there, and therefore we may face many moods and emotions related to them.
Expressing our feelings and thoughts makes one self different from others. If there was a day marked only to express what you feel about life, then a single day may not be enough for me whereas few others may convey it in few lines. We can understand our inner expressions and need to careful of it not to be influenced by the outer world.
We have expressed the dilemma of life is resolved by inner expressions through poetry. The below poetry form is Villanelle. A Villanelle is a nineteen-line poem consisting of a very specific rhyming scheme: aba aba aba aba aba abaa.
The first and the third lines in the first stanza are repeated in alternating order throughout the poem, and appear together in the last couplet (last two lines).
Puzzled I look around.
Mirror displays hazed picture, I hear
Identify your core ground.
Judgmental Strangers make me astound,
Whom to believe, I stress;
Puzzled I look around.
False opinions hound.
Self-belief echoes back.
Identify your core ground.
Peace is nowhere to be found.
Jigsaw life, no map to resolve,
Puzzled I look around.
Dishonest voices whenever impound,
Sturdy inner voice shoots up to say
Identify your core ground.
Baffled outer world looks unsound
Now I trust inward expression
Puzzled I look around(to)
Identify your core ground.
Beautiful expression of inner feelings, amazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely Poem. I didn't know about the poetic form Villanelle, so thanks for sharing that information. I loved the line that while false opinion hounds it is the self-belief that echoes back.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem, very deep if you get the right way to look into it. Judgements never ends, not matter what. But then, it is on us how we take it.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many poetic forms, good to know about Villanelle. Very well written, I think everyone should listen to their inner voice and it can never go wrong. Loved these lines "Dishonest voices whenever impound, Sturdy inner voice shoots up to say identify your core ground".
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely expressions and very beautiful inner feelings. It is better to listen to your inner voice than thousands of other voices
ReplyDeleteNice poem I'll say. Yes, I always listen to what my inner voice says. And I act accordingly. It gives so much of peace of mind.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely poem! We all need to listen to our inner expressions.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're so right, we shouldn't be influenced by the outer world. That lil voice inside of us is giving us a cue, and sometimes, paying attention to that voice helps a lot!
