“Kindness
is a perennial virtue, share it and it grows more”
You help
someone and in reply what you get is precious as diamond the soothing smile the
compassion essayed from the eyes. Yes one kindness act and you are so welled up
in your emotion quotient.
We
bumped about Your Turn Now (YTN) on Anupama Dalmia facebook page Beyond the box which had the contest to narrate your kindness
act.
For few
days we started pondering what kindness acts we had done in recent times, few
flashed but we didn’t find them worth mentioning, again we started to jot down
kindness acts but again they were not reaching our benchmark.
But
Rushabh Turakhia says, “no kindness act is small, but maybe we all need gentle
reminders to be kind”. This thought inspired us and we were drifted towards
this campaign furthermore found out some amazing facts about this
initiative and about founder Rushabh Turakhia. Let me share with you all about
this movement.
Who
started Your Turn Now?
Rushab Turakhia in
December 2009, started this campaign to bring in compassion, gratitude through
kindness acts. He is an author, businessman, motivational trainer
and life coach. He has conducted various workshops in schools,
communities and corporates with a sole intention to promote love and
kindness.
He has
been awarded as Volunteer Hero, in 2012 for his efforts in the field of Social
Change by Giants group. He has authored 4 books - Knock, Knock, Are you
listening? , YOUR TURN NOW , Your Turn Now 2 and Second Look. All the royalty
earned from the book is used 100% for charity. These books also find a place in
the list of 8 books from across the world based on peace and kindness.
What
is the motive of Your Turn now initiative?
Rushabh, in one his interview said, “I
just need to spread the message all over the world and make a world a happy
place”. A smile by the content heart makes his day and gives him bundle of
energy to move ahead in this movement.
In 9 years of YTN, the YTN cards have
reached 45 countries and a million people and is dreamt of targeting 7.2 billion people. This is the plus side of social
media and can you imagine this going so huge and having a positive effect. You can find more about it at YTN website.
How
you can be part of YTN campaign:
Kindness is in everyone’s heart, it is
just that we get so engrossed in our self and our executions that we miss the
small acts of kindness that can make some one’s day. A simple smile to lift man
or a thank you to your cook or a appreciation to colleague or a family member can
make a huge difference in their life.
Kindness act that varies from person to
person, one should have the intention to be kind and when someone finishes the
kindness act pass on the YTN card to him/her so kindness spreads. If you have
watched Salman Khan starrer movie ‘Jai Ho’, you can relate with this campaign
even more.
You can get in touch with Rushabh to get
the Your Turn Now card by messaging on +91-9029602897 or mail rushabh@yourturnnow.in
