A
Goodbye hurts, though short or long,
mind probably accepts, but heart no strong.
Distances are meager for our bond,
but a gesture can sing a cheerful
song.
Memorizing moments of togetherness each time crops.
Don’t know why it always welcomes a teardrop?
When I know date of unity, I am calm,
else my emotions are wary in a speedy storm.
Some
haphazard adios break me apart,
doesn’t give time or a preparation chart.

Final goodbyes are there to happen,
but can’t understand why it’s so sudden.
For our good or bad, destiny has upper hand,
but can’t fight with God, can only stare and stand.
A Goodbye can shatter our world,
but only can be combated with a positive hope.
