“Why
are we here Grandma", Atul curiously questioned looking up at hanging
candles.
“It
was a ritual to tie the ribbons and lit the candles when someone was freed from
bonded labor. It was a mark of happy beginning”, replied Grandma.
“This is all deep buried in pages of history Grandma,
now what’s the use of this ritual as now it's modern era with much freedom”,
asked Atul in perplexed tone.
“It only reminds of the painful past”, added Atul.
“Dear it’s only a matter of perspective”, replied Grandma.
“My fight of me against myself has begun”, thought Atul.
Word Count #99.
We try to analyze logic behind every ritual rather than finding a reason of
happiness and to bond together to celebrate.
