Trust Your Instinct

Who among us has not been in a dilemma in recent times? We all are in a situation where we want more options for taking the best decisions. Dilemma word itself means “A situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives”. From hundreds of options, you have to make the apt choice for yourself and others which varies from shopping, cooking menu, relationships. But why does such situation rises, are we unable to reach decisions or are we not hearing to our inner instinct.?

Trust your instinct n Win over dilemma

Yes, all answers for such situations are instantly given by our instinct but we lower down such voices and try finding logics in our choice. For instance if you choose to buy a particular smart phone, then did you buy because it was on your budget or it is latest version or it’s manufactured by your favored company or did you blindly follow your friend’s advice? For a small thing also you end up giving explanations to those who questioned your choice and mind you; you also need to stand by your choice and also justify the facts for your choice. There is always reasoning behind each choice you make be it consciously or unconsciously, but some decisions are taken from heart, taken from instinct. l call such situations as Logical dilemma, where Ralph Waldo Emerson said “Trust your instinct to the end, though you can render no reason. “

And there are times when you want your our decision be practically emotionally correct. Such situation arises when Heart vs. Brain conflict starts where you have to take practical decisions and forget emotions and in few cases though we want to be practical our heart says think about the emotional loss you are going to face if decision is taken practically. Here also go with your instinct, trust it and time shall tell whether you emerged as a winner over dilemma or not. “Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.” - Sydney J. Harris

I never want to be in dilemma where I have to choose one and leave behind the other. Or else I would say I would never want regret in my life. Vincent Vog gogh rightly said “What would be life if we had no courage to attempt anything”. For me dilemma only raises when we want both the choices and never in a circle to take decisions. But that’s not possible you need to take hundreds of decisions in life. So what would be the solution, for me once you made the choice with instinct stick to it if there is no option of reverting; and if there is a scope of reverting then see to it that there are no damages done. Share your biggest dilemma’s in life, and how did you overcome with it by giving your comments.

“Trust your own instinct. Your mistakes might as well be your own, instead of someone else's” - Billy Wilder
